DAWN DIAZ is a dynamic, powerful speaker and life coach who merges non-denominational spiritual principles, professional strategies and urban flair; to achieve the fastest, most productive results, for her clients, in business, lobbying, and social consciousness and responsibility. Founder and CEO of the Non-Profit Organization Milagros Day Worldwide, Dawn has worn many hats throughout her life. During her career as a Paramedic/Captain in the New York City Fire Department, she held the vital responsibility of bringing order and calm to countless situations of tragedy and chaos; including the attacks of 9/11 in 2001.

She left her mark on the Fire Department by training almost 5,000 EMS providers in six months, on the most efficient ways of prioritizing victims in a multiple casualty incident. As a young mother, she raised three exceptional young men; her sons are her biggest supporters. Since 2009, Dawn has received the Circle of Hearts Humanitarian Award; she has been recognized as a Warrior Womyn and a Lady of Grace; and is a recipient of the 2012 Mamas Latinas Award. Using her spiritual grounding and business savvy, Dawn Diaz created Milagros Day Worldwide in honor of her mother Carmen Milagros Lugo, a victim of severe domestic violence, to provide leadership and mentorship for survivors of domestic violence, or those who grew up in an abusive household. As a child affected by Post Traumatic Stress Disorder, and losing her mom in a tragic car accident at the age of 14; Dawn has traversed a very long, painful and rewarding journey of self-discovery and healing. She has studied with some of the most prominent business and spiritual leaders of our time; including her mentor Karen Hoyos. Dawn’s journey has been an extraordinary gift to the participants of her seminars; as it makes her relatable to so many people on the spectrum of cultural, educational and economic status. Dawn regularly delivers her personal growth courses Dare to Dream, Happiness is a Choice, and The Legacy BootCamp to a diverse range of audiences, and is a co-author in the book Building On Greatness, The Courage to Thrive. Dawn is also the creator of historic events such as The Annual Brooklyn Bridge Mother's Day Walk and the Rescue for the Rescuers Hurricane Sandy Relief Concert. An acclaimed Empowerment Expert and Keynote Speaker, Dawn has been a featured guest on Fox News, NBC, CNN and Univision; she has appeared on numerous radio, web and print media outlets, and her story has been archived in the National Library of Congress.
